Hard Real-Time Java™
 |
Kelvin Nilsen, a published Java™ industry expert delves
into the challenges and opportunities surrounding the use of
the Java language for hard real-time applications. Kelvin
is a key expert group participant in JSR-302, the Java
Community Process effort to develop a standardized approach
to safety critical Java and will provide a wealth of
information from these Java™ community activities.
If you have previously thought Java was inappropriate for
hard real-time systems, this webinar is for you. Kelvin uses real-world application experience to
support the design decisions in new technology from Aonix to
address the requirements of complex and/or deeply embedded
hard real-time systems. This webinar is valuable to
anyone managing or developing soft or hard real-time
projects.
The webinar showcases a product demonstration
of the newest PERC™ family member, PERC Pico™ the hard
real-time virtual machine technology from Aonix.
Kelvin Nilsen is the CTO of Aonix. He earned his PhD at the
University of Arizona, where he did seminal research on
real-time Java™ that led to the founding of NewMonics, a
clean-room Java™ company that Aonix acquired. Kelvin holds
multiple patents in key VM technologies such as real-time
garbage collection.
